Sweet Little Lies by J.T. Ellison
Sweet Little Lies in an anthology of short stories by J.T. Ellison.
It is almost impossible to actually discuss any of the stories without spoilers, so I’m not going to try. A few really stood out for me, though.
Three that really jumped: Prodigal Me (great way to start the anthology), Where’d You Get That Red Dress, and Killing Carol Ann. Actually, all the others were good too.
I find it a little hard to categorize this book. The shorts are mysteries, and thrillers, and some are a little creepy, but all good.
As someone who has not (as yet) read any of her novels, this has inspired me to take the next step. They say she writes a little like Hitchcock, and they wouldn’t be wrong. She takes ordinary events and twists them. The endings are always a surprise.
Loved these stories!
