The Magician’s Land by Lev Grossman
The Magician’s Land is the third and final book in the series by Lev Grossman.
It continues the story of Quentin and his friends as they explore their magical powers as well as their wants and needs. They are no longer the teenagers they were in Book 1, although some of their behaviours have not changed. After Quentin was kicked out of Fillory, he ends up back at Brakebills, this time teaching, although that does not last either, and for a while it seems he may have found an even darker path. He and Plum (the reason from his expulsion from Brakebills) fall in with a crowd of magician thieves, and end up with a spell book that may help them create a new Fillory should this one fall.
Overall, the teenagers we started with in Book 1 have evolved to responsible adults by the end of Book 3. Somewhat.
Again, the imagination that Grossman has is definitely out of this world. The writing is wonderful, at times confusing, but wonderful.
Good ending to this trilogy !
