The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin is the final book in his “Passage” Trilogy.

To say it’s over, when it could actually be a whole new beginning for mankind…..

The City of Mirrors takes up where The Twelve ended. The Twelve are gone, and it is time to tear down walls and re-build the world. However, Zero and his virals are still alive — and he wants Amy. Will Alicia deliver her? Will Michael’s ship take them away before the virals return?

I thoroughly enjoyed this apocalyptic saga. Justin Cronin developed his characters in such a way that we were invested in each one of them from the very beginning of the first book. We needed to know what happened to each one. And we found out. In this final book, we find out the fate of Peter, Alicia, Sarah, Michael, etc. And Amy. I think I will remember Amy for a long time.

Sad to see it end.

Favorite Quotes from The City of Mirrors:

“What is home but a place where you are truly known?”

“City of memories, city of mirrors.”

“Sister Peg hoped that God would help her, but it was her belief that He much preferred for people to attend to themselves. Life was a test; it was up to you to pass it or not.”
