The Night Bell by Inger Ash Wolfe

The Night Bell, by Inger Ash Wolfe (Michael Redhill) is the fourth Hazel Micallef mystery.
This time the police in Ontario’s “Port Dundas” are trying to solve two mysteries, decades apart. Old bones are found on the grounds of a 1950’s-60’s Group Home for Boys. Then three dead bodies are found on those same grounds which are now being developed into a new subdivision which seems to be in financial jeopardy. A police officer is kidnapped. Hazel is remembering a childhood friend who went missing, and the fact that Hazel’s own brother was a suspect. Can all of these be connected?
I can’t get enough of Hazel. The writing is fluid, the two time periods mesh wonderfully, and my hometown is mentioned!
