Lasher by Anne Rice
The second book of the Mayfair Witches Trilogy by Anne Rice, Lasher picks up the story immediately following the end of The Witching Hour.
This book explores more of Lasher’s history, and the reason behind his need for Rowan. Meanwhile, Michael is left to recover from Lasher’s assault, and deal with family issues, while still wondering why Rowan left him, and if she will ever return. Aaron and the Talamasca also seem to be at odds. Another branch of the Mayfair family is introduced, and the young witch who will become the designee should Rowan die.
A lot of information is rolled into the book, and at times it is hard to keep track, but in the end, it is, as always, well written. Looking forward to Taltos !
