Pop Goes the Weasel by James Patterson
Pop Goes the Weasel by James Patterson is the 5th in the Alex Cross detective series.
This series is an action packed, fast-paced set of books, that although I am re-reading after many years, I am still enjoying. They have enough twists to keep them interesting, if sometimes a little predictive.
In this one, Alex is chasing a serial killer across Washington. British diplomat, Geoffery Shafer, is playing the part of “Death” in a Four Horseman Role Playing Game with three other players across the globe. Unfortunately, it’s more than a game to him. He is actually killing people, and he’s crazy. Bodies are piling up.
Meanwhile, Alex and Christine are getting even closer. He loves her, NanaMama loves her, and the kids love her. However, in the midst of the investigation, she becomes part of Shafer’s game, and suddenly the stakes of the game are elevated.
This one gets a little intense.
